CX80 Bondicx 06 adhesive for plastic and rubber 20g - is a fast-curing, one-component, low-viscosity cyanoacrylate adhesive. The adhesive is mainly intended for plastics and rubber, such as: polyethylene, polypropylene, PTFE (Teflon) and fluorine rubber (silicone).
Application
Rapid bonding of many metal materials, plastics and elastomers. Particularly useful for bonding plastic or rubber (EPDM) parts, where quick fixation of details is essential. Bonding of silicone rubber to plastic housings in car door lock mechanisms; plastic housings for the fire extinguisher cylinder; sticking a rubber hose into the braid and sticking rubber gaskets.
Typical curing process
Under normal conditions, surface moisture will initiate the curing process. Although functional strength occurs relatively quickly, the curing process continues for at least 24 hours before the product is fully chemically resistant. If curing is taking too long due to large gaps, you can speed up the process by using an activator. However, this may reduce the final strength of the weld.
